U.S. stocks fell in morning trading Tuesday, as technology stocks weighed on major indexes. The S&P 500 slid 1.2%. The benchmark advanced 0.3% on Monday, despite declines in giant technology stocks. The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite fell 2.3%.
